Yellowstone’s Winter Wonderland in Early May

Everyone should have the chance to experience Yellowstone National Park in winter. I was lucky enough to do just that, even though it was early May. I stepped out for an early morning walk and was greeted by several inches of fresh snow, turning the landscape into a winter wonderland in Spring. The trees, trails, and hillsides glistened under a pristine white blanket, giving Yellowstone a whole new kind of shine.

After checking out of the Old Faithful Snow Lodge, we made one last stop to watch Old Faithful erupt, visited the Old Faithful Visitor Center, and soaked in the final moments of this unforgettable park. We said goodbye to Yellowstone and set our sights on our next destination: Montana.
